PURPOSE OF THE COURSE

To raise awareness of maintenance personnel about the importance and necessity of maintenance. Informing about the types, characteristics, advantages, and disadvantages of maintenance. To teach the necessary information about the name, standard, feature, and selection of the machine elements used in maintenance operations. To teach the assembly and disassembly of bearings and hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance methods.

COURSE CONTENT

  • Introducing maintenance methods used in machines and systems,
  • Creating a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance calendar,
  • TPM (Total Productive Maintenance),
  • Determining the tools to be used in maintenance,
  • Bearing types, coding method, their selection, use, and maintenance,
  • Bearing assembly and disassembly practices,
  • Types, properties, places of use, determination and applications of threads,
  • Removable or non-removable fasteners such as bolts-nuts, pins, wedges, etc.,
  • Spanner types and properties,
  • Structure and properties of torque spanner,
  • Types of belts (V belt, timing belt, poly belt, etc.), their properties, points to be considered in the selection and use,
  • Types of pulleys (V pulley, multiple V pulleys, timing pulleys, poly pulleys, etc.), their properties, points to be 
  • considered in the selection and use,
  • Gear wheels (spur, helical, rack, timing, conical, worm, counter, etc.), their properties, points to be considered in the selection and use,
  • Tasks, types, and properties of couplings and clutches that mediate motion transmission,
  • Deciding on the operability of the elements within the framework of maintenance rules, and assembly and disassembly when necessary,
  • Selection, storage, analysis, replacement, and supplement of oils,
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic fasteners and ferrule pipe connection practices,
  • Types of sealing elements, their selection, and assembly-disassembly practices,
  • Maintenance of hydraulic elements,
  • Maintenance of pneumatic elements.
