PURPOSE OF THE COURSE 
To teach basic information about arc welding to welding personnel. To provide an understanding of the points to be considered in arc welding. To provide arc welding skills.

COURSE CONTENT 
Definition, types, and historical development of the arc welding 
Occupational safety and health during welding, (electric shock, effect of arc beam on the eye, harmful gases) 
Types of electrical arc welding machines and current generators (transformers, generators, rectifier welding machines, etc.) 
Electrical arc welding tools and equipment, welding torches, and welding electrodes 
Electrode selection by material type 
Preparation of workpieces for welding and selection of welding bent 
Electrical arc welding joining types (horizontal, top-down, bottom-up ceiling welding, etc.) 
Applications of electric arc welding of various metals. Electric arc welding, resistance welding, etc. applications of cast iron, aluminum, and copper. 
Tensile and warping in welding, weld defects 
Application of cutting with electric arc 
Duration: 3 days (theory + practice)
